Where does White have pieces vulnerable to a pawn fork? The knights on e4 and g4 are perfectly positioned. The only obstacle is Black’s own queen at f5. When our own pieces obstruct our plans, our first recourse is clear: try to move them out of the way in a violent fashion that requires a time-consuming response from the enemy.
